YOUTH BASKETBALL
At MSEC we have a basketball league for every skill set! Our league provides structured play in both recreational and competitive formats in all age categories. Young players are introduced to the fundamentals of basketball, while more experienced players are challenged to improve upon their skills. These youth leagues provide a fun and engaging environment for players to come together and compete on the courts of a state-of-the-art facility, making it an enjoyable experience for fans and players alike.
SPRING II SEASON:
Starts May 12, 2025

Ages: 4 - 17
• Players must meet the age requirement of their respective division before the beginning of the season.
Season Play:
• Mondays & Wednesdays beginning at 5:15P, 6:15P, & 7:15P
Individual Fees (payment plans available):
• Individual $125/child (includes jersey, game/practice fees, and end-of-the-season gift.)
• Multiple Team Discount: Teams with 8 or more players will receive a 20% discount on the total registration fees!
• Extra practice times can be purchased for $80/hr (full-court; as available) for league participants.
Refund Policy:
• The Memphis Sports and Events Center does not issue cash refunds. We do not consider refunds unless the Memphis Sports and Events Center must cancel an event or program that is not rescheduled.
League Deposit Policy:
• Your deposit/down payment is NON-REFUNDABLE if you are removed from league participation due to non-payment.
• Players are not allowed to play until payment is received.

Intermediate/Recreational Division:
This division is targeted at players with some prior playing experience – who have travel/AAU 2nd team experience or recreation experience. (We will have separate girl’s and boy’s divisions.)
• Games will be played on Mondays and/or Wednesdays between 5:30P - 8P.
Developmental Division: This division is targeted at players new to the game and wish to learn the fundamentals and basics of the game of basketball – geared towards Free Agent Registrants with little experience to no experience. (Teams will be coed unless registration numbers allow for boys/girls teams).
• Games will be played on Mondays and/or Wednesdays between 5:30P - 8P.

• 6 regular season games + single-elimination playoffs for teams that qualify.
• Age groups 4/5 & 6/7 will not participate in post-season play.
• Teams will practice and play games on both Mondays and Wednesdays. Practice duration will consist of 30 minutes, followed by a scheduled game. This approach will further assist coaches with implementing what has been taught in practice immediately into a game setting.
• If you cannot register as a full team, you may sign-up individually as a “free agent.”
• If enough free agents are registered, a team consisting of the free agent pool will be formed. If there are not enough free agents to form a team, we will reach out to the team captains asking if they need additional players. You will be issued a full refund if these two options do not work.
• Team and coach requests are not guaranteed.
• You may only request 1 friend or coach (friend requests must be reciprocal).
